Jet is a powerful methamphetamine that stimulates the central nervous system. The initial euphoric rush rarely lasts more than a few minutes, but during that time, the user is filled with a rush of energy & strength.

NOTE: Ironically, while the description says the Jet-user is filled with Strength, the truth is your Strength is reduced by 2 points while on this drug.

Jet was created by Myron, a young scientist working for the Mordinos family, in the New Reno Stables. Jet quickly became a cheap and popular drug, spreading to other towns like Redding thanks to the Mordinos contacts all over the wasteland.

NOTE: In the past, because it had a 100% chance of addiction, once a Character with Chem Reliant would consume a Jet dose, addiction would begin. You can no longer get Addicted to Drugs now though.

Uses

Jet is a primary combat drug, sometimes used in PvP for its +2 boost to Action Points, giving that Character a serious speed advantage over foes with less AP. However, Jet is often avoided due to its -15% to DR penalty.

Jet cannot reduce your DR below 0%, so it doesn't increase damage taken by unarmored, 0% DR Characters.

NOTE: Using Jet has 50% chance of leaving Empty Jet Canister.

NOTE: Possible to heal Jet addiction by using Drug Antidote.

Where to Obtain

You can buy limitless amounts of this drug in Den, from Joey, one of the three thugs in the middle of the town, for 500 caps each. It can be looted from some bodies in Robbers and Highwaymen encounters, and with Thief, you can Steal Jet from prostitutes in Den. It can also be crafted at a Workbench with the right materials. Renesco sells Jet blueprints for 6000 Caps.

Jet can often be purchased anywhere from other NPC Merchants, especially doctors, and in casinos.
