During the Blood-Soaked Heroes quest, Ken will sell you a pin code to use with the computer in the Shi Temple.
Optionally, Ken will also sell access to an Advanced Workbench work space hidden under San Francisco, but it will cost you 10k Caps each time you visit there. It's a unique place, with multiple computer terminals surrounding some large, central system in the middle (and a map glitch into Oblivion). (Talk with the guard there to exit the place.)
