The typical wasteland scorpion can easily poison you during combat, and the poison is to be taken seriously, but the Black Claw variety does intense poison damage, which often kills unless you use Antidote. All scorpions yield a Scorpion Tail when killed, and the Black Claw variety sometimes have 1 or 2 eggs.
