So how do you define job vs quest? And "It's a Man's Job" is apparently a quest, not a job, even though it calls itself a job lol. The way i have thought of this is, if it's a task to complete without leaving town (or simply by fetching something), it's a job. If it's a task that makes a dot on the map (or otherwise requires serious combat), then it's a quest. That's how i have thought of it up to now, though i admit i don't see it defined anywhere clearly, other than "jobs are like quests but are repeatable". That no longer applies and we should change it. I think this was used back when the only repeatable tasks were "tiny easy" things. But nowadays, even Klamath tanker quest is repeatable, and so is GR mutie cave, yet these are obviously quests, not "tiny easy", but repeatable. I'm up for suggestions, but i think we should go with this, and define "serious" the way a new player would:

  • Job = simple, local, no serious combat
  • Quest = requires some serious travel, or requires serious combat, makes a dot on the map.

How do you feel about it?
