A hotel room is one option for characters to have a semi-safe place to store items, with a locked door that cannot be picked, but is otherwise very limited:

NOTE: The hotel room feature is/was known to be very buggy, so it is advised to avoid them until they get a re-work.

  • Only available in certain places: Yin in San Fran, (more here soon)
  • Is in towns and not on worldmap, so not shareable as a location like tents are
  • Small floor space
  • Need to pay rent often to avoid losing it

If you log out in your hotel room, and are gone from game too long and lose the room, characters have gotten stuck in rooms with no way to unlock the door to get out.
