A Character standing inside Solid rock.

Oblivion is an area in a local map, where nobody is supposed to be able to go. It is often solid rock or otherwise raw earth "filler" map areas behind walls, between hallways, and beyond floor tiles. It is caused by a map glitch that allows Characters to traverse beyond the intended borders of the local map. Usually, this is simply the lack of a "tech hex" control used by map-makers to define borders and block off walls and other barriers. Any player can download some dev tools from the game forum, and make maps and explorable content. If you make maps, please test them thoroughly to correct any map glitches like this.

If you find one, you can run around in an Oblivion area, defying physics, looking for ethereal loot, but don't expect to find anything; it's really just a glitch. If you find one, please let an editor know so we can add it to this list for developers to fix later.

This page thus serves as a list of such places where a map glitch exists, and needs to be fixed.
