Fire Geckos are fairly tough creatures often hunted for their pelts, a key material in the crafting of Combat Armors. They can be located in the vast desert expanse of The Great Valley, which lies between the towns of San Francisco, Redding, and New Reno.
Skinning Geckos requires the Gecko Skinning Support Perk.

Fire Geckos, much like their lesser kin, will rush to close the distance between their target and them. However, unlike their lesser cousins, Fire Geckos are capable of breathing fire over a cone shaped short-medium range, dealing a considerable amount of fire damage; A damage type least mitigated by most armors.
