Desert Oasis

A unique encounter you can get from Trappers, if you approach them unarmed. They will warn you if they see you armed with any weapon, and you have a few moments to disarm if you want to talk with them. Be warned though - the Oasis is populated by many creatures that will chase you and swarm you, including some large Deathclaws with over 500 HP. Some loot there includes Gold Nuggets on the ground, a few useful things in some containers and an occasional HQ component, and some pelts from various geckos.

This location will remain for over 3 RT hours, but can only be seen by the quest-taker, even after others have been brought there. You can park cars in it, but not a Vertibird. Hostiles do not return once defeated. None of the hostiles here used ranged attacks, so the Oasis is not considered a very difficult encounter, but it can be a challenge to solo if you trigger too many creatures at one time. The difficulty does not apparently scale up based on your Character's level.
