Types of Traps

Bear Traps

• 20-60 Damage with high chance of crippling legs
• Can be very dangerous if you don't see them as it is easy to walk over several at a time. They appear as you approach them, based on your Perception
• Get Light Step to greatly reduce risk of Damage - you can run right over multiple bear traps with Light Step and maybe not set off almost any of them

Land Mines

Boom!

• Much higher Damage than bear traps
• Can be found in Footlockers, ready to use. Place on the ground to do Damage to unsuspecting passersby - don't do that at Respawn locations as it was considered "blocking respawn for other players" before and you can get banned for it.

NOTE: Frag Mines are no longer found around Footlockers in Random Encounters
