The Safe House is a better alternative to a tent, but can only be constructed by those with the Ranger support perk.
It consists of a small shack with its own full Workbench, and has a few more containers than a tent. The maps work the same as tent maps, and so does the campfire. You build one by using a folded tent, same as building a tent, but if you have the Ranger perk, then you get a Safe House instead of a tent. The 10 tent limit includes Safe Houses. So you can have 10 tents, or 10 Safe Houses, or 5 of each, or any combination that sums to 10. Trying to creating an eleventh, will prompt you to delete one of the other ten.
Note: Tents already built prior to getting Ranger will remain only tents. They do not get automatically upgraded to Safe Houses.
Contents
- The shack has a door which you can lock.
- There is a workbench inside.

- A wooden chest at the foot of the bed
