Most Slags are hostile, especially tough NPCs, found protecting some special places:

  • Slags guard the footlocker at Warehouse, which will not open as long as any of them are standing.
  • Slags inhabit Vault 15's lower 2 levels, and guard the lockers there.
  • Slags guard the footlocker at Dayglow, which will not open until all Slags there are defeated.

They usually cannot be looted, and typically have high damage resistances regardless of what armor they wear. Try your Heavy Handed approach, for example, on a Slag, and you'll usually find it fails. Try fire if they wear metal armor, and don't be surprised if it seems to have little affect. They are fast, with more AP than most NPC enemies, and typically do more damage than expected, leading players to team up with each other in order to fight them.
