You can upgrade a basic Fire Pit with 3 pieces of Wood. Once done, you will have some menu options when you access the Campfire:
- Tent management (available for tent owner only)
- Throw something into the fire (available for everyone)
Throwing something into the fire, as you can guess, destroys that item, but if you choose Tent management, you get the following options:
- Change the name of the tent
- Upgrades
- Create a Tent Map to this location
- Abandon tent
- Forget Location
Changing the name allows you to choose a custom name for this tent.
The Upgrades option allows you to add an Primitive Workbench to this tent, for creating some basic items like Metal Parts, Gunpowder, Alloys, etc, (See Fix-Boy for more options). If you have the Ranger perk, you can create a Safe House, which has a regular Workbench.
Creating a map is how you share the tent's location with other characters. Do this and you get a Tent Map item which others can use to highlight this tent's location on the world map.
Abandon tent is how you delete the tent, at which time you lose all items left at the tent location (need to be checked).
