Looks like there's an Abandoned Hotel far to the east of Vault 15. The ruins of a once prosperous city named "Ridgecrest" have now become home to random gang bangers, and a variety of criminals alike. Now that I have its location, I can harass them as much as I want.
Get the location by talking with Followers of the Apocalypse or Merchant Party in random encounter.
This is a relatively easy Dungeon, but it is advised to do it in Turn-Based if you're solo, even though there may be considerable waiting periods between turns. There are about 40 various thugs here and they will swarm you and overwhelm you if they can:
- 10 Yakuza armed with Hunting Rifles in Leather Jackets, with 263 HP (520 XP each).
- 10 Trappers armed with Spears and 1-5 Grenade (Frag), (of which they make no use of somehow) in Metal Armors, with 139 HP (300 XP each).
- 10 Trappers armed with 10mm Pistols in Leather Armors, with 139 HP (300 XP each)
- 5 Trappers armed with Hunting Rifles in Leather Armors, with 139 HP (300 XP each)
- 5 Press Gangers armed with 10mm Pistols in Leather Jackets, with 170 HP (700 XP each)
- The Leader is a tough guard, armed with an M60 and clad in Metal Armor with 263HP. He is the more troublesome enemy, and is waiting for you in the middle of the hotel.
The best strategy seems to be sniping them through the numerous windows, while side-stepping before the end of turn. The only non-locked door is the one to the lower left corner of the building, so it is the only one through which they can exit.
- Some carry a Stimpak and Jet, but all drop their complete armors and helmets, which are in reasonable condition.
- There are containers all around the Hotel: Chests, Footlockers, even the pool tables, which have minor loot.
- Also, Vic's Radio can be found in a House to the north.
