The Leather Jacket is the weakest armor in the game, as well as the cheapest to both craft and buy. It is readily available all across the wastes, as many low-level random encounters have NPCs that wear the armor.
Uses
It offers some defense against Normal damage, Melee, Unarmed, Energy Weapons, Fire, and Explode.
Can be upgraded into Combat Leather Jacket.
A character can sneak effectively in Leather Jacket.
Obtaining
- Complete the quest, Buy cigarettes for Buster to obtain one.
- Craft it.
- Buy one from a Merchant.
Loot various NPCs in encounters, such as:
- Followers of the Apocalypse
- Highwaymen
- Marauders
- Powder Gang
- Press Gang
- Raiders (all types, except the metal ones)
- Robbers
- Moonshiners
- Farm Thug
