Basic information
This is the best craftable pistol in the game for its high damage combined with use of the .223 FMJ ammunition and its long range compared to other pistols. It does have drawbacks in having a 5 round magazine. Obtaining this weapon can be done either by crafting it or buying it from merchants that specialize in Small Guns. It can also be obtained by killing Vault City Patrols around Vault City.
Tactics
Any mid range gunslinger build will be happy wielding this weapon which will damage most armors. At point blank range, it is surpassed by SMG bursts, so its optimum range is between 20 and 30 hexes.
Advantages
- Penetrate weapon perk which reduces your target's Damage Threshold to 1/3 of its nominal value.
- Penetrates most armor.
- Good range for a pistol.
Disadvantages
- 5 round magazine.
