Reroll

“Reroll” is a feature that allows you to recreate a character. When you Reroll, you delete and re-register a new character with the same or different name, choose the SPECIALs, the tag skills, and distribute Skill Points and Level Perks.

To Use

To Reroll a character, use ~deleteself while standing in a tent/house/base while having at least 10,000 caps in that character's inventory. Be careful! The ~deleteself command deletes a character, removing all progress.

After the character is deleted, a Book of Achievement is spawned on the ground in that same hex place. Use the book on a new Level-1 character to gain the levels of your old character. The book will disappear when used completely. Obviously, it can't be used on more than one character.

Note It does not spawn when the deleted character is only Level 1.

WARNING The Book of Achievement gives character levels only - nothing else. Think carefully before using this feature because there is no way back!

• The original character's ID is lost
• Support perks get lost
• Professions get lost
• Blueprints which the character learned get lost
• Implants get lost
• Books read by this character get lost
• Items in your inventory get lost
• Followers get lost
• Reputation gets reset
• Kill counts and quest progress get lost
• You are automatically no longer a member in any Faction. (If this was the leader of a faction, this can cause major problems, but if there is at least one important member then he can claim leadership.)
• None of this character's Tents get deleted, but they need to be seen on the worldmap by another character, or they will be no longer accessible.

Reported Mistakes and Common Errors

Many players have made mistakes in the process of Rerolling. GameMasters likely cannot help you in any way, so pay attention to details when Rerolling'. Here is a list of the common problems - please try not to make these mistakes:

• Don't forget to place AT LEAST 10,000 bottle caps in your inventory.
• Don't place ANY lower amount of caps in your inventory - if you place 9,999 - THE REROLL WON'T WORK.
• Make sure to be in your tent or base when doing reroll. Otherwise, the Book of Achievement will not spawn and the character will be lost.
• Make sure that nobody steals your caps from inventory or kills you before the character disappears and the book is spawned. Otherwise, the book will not spawn and the character will be lost. Make sure that your don't die from poison or radiation.
• Be sure, you are logged in with the right character. (Yes, this also happened)
