This is one of the many tasks in [[Lander's Point]] that adds an item to your [[Lander's Point Exit Package]]. You don't get the item immediately; you get it when you leave the camp and head out into [[The World|the open world]] by talking with [[Custos the Scout|Custos]]. You can leave at any time, but remember: when you leave the camp, you don't ever go back, and ''all'' items in your [[Inventory]] are removed at that time and given back to the residents of [[Lander's Point]], including whatever [[Caps]] you've accumulated. When you leave, you're given only an [[Lander's Point Exit Package|Exit Package]] which consists solely of items associated with the tasks you've completed while staying at the camp.

Albert will instruct you to get a Hatchet, and a Sledgehammer so you can obtain the resources necessary to craft your own Knife. He is the instructor and you are the student. Crafting the Knife is your Crafting project. Bring the Knife back to him so he can grade your project.
