A Farmer's Best Friend model cattle prod from Wattz Electronics. This model has been upgraded to increase the electrical discharge.

The Super Cattle Prod (Abbreviated "SCP") is a favorite amongst some melee fighters. Its damage is a random combination of both Normal and Electrical damage.

You can buy the blueprint from Ralph in Gun Runners for 10k Caps.

About This Weapon

Mega Power Fist and SCP are the only melee weapons (for now) that have electrical type of damage (along with regular Cattle Prod of course)
SCP is most effective against Metal Armor which offers no protection against electrical damage. It is also effective against Metal Armor Mark II which offers very little protection
A good weapon for most PvE since animals usually have low electrical resistance

Advantages

Accurate is a weapon perk which increases the chance to hit by 20%
Its critical hit death animation is awesome
Electrical resistance cannot be boosted by Drugs, so the SCP deals the same amount of damage to a Psycho-drugged enemy as it would to the same enemy without Psycho
Electrical resistance is usually lower than or equal to Normal resistance of Armors, except for Tesla Armor

One Exception

Tesla Armor has 90% electrical and only 20% normal damage reduction. So a good backup weapon might be a Ripper, Super Sledge or Power Fist

Merchants rarely sell SCP
Get Profession: Energy Expert 2 and craft them yourself

Weapon Comparisons

Minimum Damage is 5 points higher than Ripper's (maximum Damage is same for both)
Average Damage is 1 point lower than Super Sledge's , but SCP's AP cost is point 1 lower
