Rise among the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel.
I must now travel to the Gun Runners and make a deal with them on behalf of the Brotherhood of Steel. Any means necessary. I must not fail my brothers and sisters.
Go to Gunrunners and use your Squire rank with the Brotherhood of Steel to establish a trade contract with Ralph. Expect an argument, but get a deal contingent upon doing some scouting work for him.
Scouting Work for Ralph
He sends you to several locations. Go to these and scout all 8 zones immediately around them:
- Hub
- Junktown
- Boneyard - the Zones surrounding centered around Gun Runners
- San Francisco - with the town oriented in top left corner of the 9-Zone square area - see image below
- Shady Sands
- Broken Hills
- Redding
NOTE: If you have already uncovered all of these zones, the towns and their 8 immediately surrounding zones, then you are already done scouting for Ralph. Otherwise, travel to whichever of these places you've not yet been, and report back to him to close the deal.
NOTE: When reporting back to Ralph, if you do not get this dialogue, then go look at the map again. Are there any dark zones left near Gunrunners? Does your map around San Fran look like the image above?

- 7000 XP from the quartermaster
