Uses
The sledgehammer can be used as a basic melee weapon, but it is mostly used for mining the following resources in mines to make materials for crafting:
It can also be upgraded to a Super Sledge.
Warning: Even though the sledgehammer is mostly used as a mining tool, it still counts as a weapon. In some parts of guarded towns, such as in the inner-city of NCR or Junktown, it is not allowed to wield weapons in the active hand slot. Pay attention, or you might be killed by the guards.
