Description
Want to have fun with fire? This fighter is optimized for fire use, and can lead 3 NPC Human Companions. He gets the third follower with Mentats, Beer and either Mirrored Shades or armor with a +1 Charisma bonus.
The obvious choice is the Incinerator, but you can use any Big Gun anytime as a backup. The Solar Scorcher is a rare weapon that most people assume is an energy pistol, but it works with Pyromaniac, so if you can find one, you can do some serious surprise burn damage. Otherwise, use the Incinerator to send devastating fire bursts at your enemies. Meanwhile, your NPC followers can do damage from more range. Try not to burn them!
And who doesn't enjoy Throwing fire grenades! That burning area animation is so much fun for everyone, including your enemies who will need to find a burn center.
His drug plan is important; he needs to use Buffout, Nuka-Cola, and Psycho at all times, to have enough Strength to wield flame-throwers. Beer will boost resistance to incoming damage. His Perception is only 1, but Incinerators are an up-close weapon anyway. Mentats is only needed for use with Followers.
The last Perk shown here is basic Action Boy, which should be a good choice for increasing speed a bit, especially since Incinerators are so slow. Alternate to Action Boy for a little more speed, you could choose another Lifegiver, or maybe Quick Pockets, or Quick Recovery, or Stonewall if you plan to go into PvP, or something else. Quick Pockets is the right choice if you plan to use Rocket Launchers too, but otherwise just carry two flamers, which effectively doubles your ammo capacity from 5 to 10.
NOTE: No Implants were planned for this build, but if you get some, you can Reroll this fighter to take advantage of them.
NOTE: All builds benefit greatly from getting the combat Implants so this build does not reflect any stats from them. In addition to the ones indicated in this build, it's up to you to decide if you want to add theses:
- Nemean
- Dermal
- Phoenix
Leveling
No tricks in leveling, other than focusing mainly on getting Big Guns to 180 first, to get Bonus Rate of Attack by level 18. Traditionally, many players have had a lot of fun leveling with fire weapons in the western desert on Centaurs and Floaters. Do not, however, try to kill Fire Geckos with fire.
