- Talk to Hammilton in the Boneyard Library and he will ask you to track down and kill one of his workers who has left. You should take note from his vulgar vocabulary that he is seeking someone ruthless to do this job.
- Go to the nearby Train station and ask four people about the missing man. They are all called Train Station Peasant. The fourth person will point you toward the next Train station.
- Repeat the above step for the other 3 train stations, but for convenience make the NCR train station your last.
- Follow your leads and you'll eventually track him back to a Shady Person at the NCR train station who will tell you the location of the man, whose hideout is nearby to the west. Shady Person can be found standing in front of a small shack in the south-eastern corner of the train station. During the interrogation you will learn you are in fact tracking down a group of people who want to get as far away from Hamilton as possible.
When you confront your target, you learn his name, which is Greg. You see he is wounded and is guarding his daughter. You have two options:
- Kill him as planned
- Spare his life which leads to fighting a hit squad. If you spare Greg's life, you can get a dialogue option with Hammilton to lie, with Charisma 5 or more, but Hammilton will still know you're lying and pressure you to fess up. When you do, he immediately sends a hit squad to kill you, so watch out; you'll get a forced encounter with a unique location, and be surrounded and immediately attacked by his hit squad, so it's best to wear good armor and drug up right after speaking with Hammilton.
Greg's daughter does not have to die even if you choose to kill her father. Be careful if you do not want to become a Childkiller.
NOTE: To complete this quest, you'll need to explore all four Train stations, and speak with 4 people in each one, a total of 16.
NOTE: While the encounter with Greg features a cave with unobscured entrance, it cannot be entered. Besides a fruit tree there is nothing useful in this map.
| Sometimes NPCs are Busy |

| When you dialogue with NPCs, sometimes they are "busy". Wait for them to move and reset, and usually they will talk with you. If not, go talk to a different one if you can, and try the busy one later. Some quests require dialogue with multiple NPCs and there are often not many NPCs available, so it can seem bugged if they are "busy", but they will eventually talk with you. |

- Kill target and be a slaver: 6000 Caps instead of the 3000, and a loaded 14mm Pistol plus 60 14mm ammo
- Do not kill target: 3000 Caps if you are not a slaver
- Scout Handbook if you didn't tell Hamilton he can "stab the reward in his ass". You do not have to be a slaver to receive it.
