Quests

Here is a sorted list of all the in-game available quests, including Blood-Soaked Heroes, the main story-line. Completing a quest will reward you with experience points and often some items. Some also affect your reputation and/or Karma. To find quests for beginners, check the easy quests list. Quests will run in whatever combat mode (Turn-Based or Real-Time) that you were in at the time you got the quest. It doesn't matter if you switch later - you'll still be in TB mode, for example, if you were in TB mode when you took the quest from the NPC. Most quests run better in Real-Time mode, and running some in TB will yield some bugs.

NOTE: There are some new, Odd Encounters throughout the wasteland, that are not documented here, so you should explore with enthusiasm and not feel limited by the following list.

Many quests are added to a list in your Pip-Boy so you can check their status later. There is a known bug where quest info gets mis-matched with quest titles. Read this for a temporary fix.

NOTE: Not all quests show up in your Pip-Boy, so during quest dialogue with NPCs, pay close attention to what they say; sometimes they tell you your next step in dialogue, and there is no way to see it again after dialogue closes.

When taking a quest, be sure to understand your quest's destination parameters, so you know if the location will be private or public, and if your party members can return without escort.
